Singapore - The asian Monte Carlo

Hello my dear travelers! Today I want to talk very briefly about a city-state that I have never had the chance to visit, I only did a stopover to flight to Brisbane, in Australia: Singapore, the fourth largest in the world financial center and one of the most cosmopolitan cities of the globe. This city has an important role in international trade and finance, and its port is among the top five worldwide.

I would love to visit this state (do not know whether to call state or city) and maybe even settle there for long as I think it's above Hong Kong as quality of life, opportunities of any kind (especially employment), security and with a crime rate almost to zero percent (I say almost because cunning people are everywhere), in the sense that I can leave 10 SGD (Singaporean dollars in the street and come back tomorrow and find them in the same spot where I left them. I like to call it the asian Monte Carlo because there are casinos, the standard of living is very high and it gives me a sense of well-being that very few cities can just give you (yes, I spent one day in Monte Carlo and I'll tell you about it in another of my article). It is an extremely cosmopolitan city where you can find people from any country, from Europeans, Australians, Chinese and Asians in general, being part of Southeast Asia. Along with Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan, in the late nineties it was considered one of the four Asian tigers; in fact, the economy of Singapore is ranked among the ten most opened in the world and more competitive; it is clear, is not a tax haeven but the financial system offers many more benefits and speeds up enormously bureaucracy issues where in Italy is very poor and deficient. I do not want to say too much because as I told you I could not personally visit the city and I could not offer the personal experiences and opinions, but to apologize have a look at this beautiful timelapse video of Singapore.
